In the cross-over's age, Duel is the new impudent mix of the purest classicism and the naughtiest modernity: Alessia Velo and Ilaria Leoni are two beautiful pianists and singers, both graduated in piano at Conservatory. At Overlook Italia, their record company in  Rome, together they gave life to new and daring experiments to unhinge conventions and rules of classical tradition keeping inviolated  its highest and purest expressions.

The aim is to cross tradition and piano virtuosity with the emotions and the directness  of pop music: that's also the reason of the name "Duel".

Both artists are authors and composers: through the collaboration and the work of great musicians, like their own producer Mauro Borzellino, they found a way to create a fusion of classical music and pop music through new modalities, mixing not only classical piano and pop music, but different languages and cultures too.

Authors of Italian, English and Spanish lyrics, Alessia and Ilaria create a new  musical experimentation looking for a meeting point (or a fight point...) between past and present, tradition and modernity.

The duel is regarding two musical styles, but not only: it’s also a conceptual duel, between Ilaria and Alessia, and, moreover, between each one and their own piano  that is the main  tool of their expression but sometime it's also a hard body to beat down...  Sometime the duel is purely technical and just about piano virtuosity: in this case the fight  is hard but  full of irony and fun too.

This cross-over project is definitely without precedents and finally puts together  talent, culture, beauty, elegance and sensuality creating a new musical style that always proceed on a refined balance made by classicism, creativity and modernity.
